At Luzora, we primarily work with steel. It is strong, authentic, and versatile. This allows us to create almost anything to measure: from doors and room dividers to fixed walls and specials. Steel is excellent for welding and further finishing, ensuring that true craftsmanship and handwork remain visible.
In addition to steel, we also apply stainless steel, aluminum, and brass, depending on the project and the space. Each metal has its own properties and advantages.
Steel
For our projects, we mostly use S235 steel, a strong and reliable alloy. Steel can be finished with a powder coating in countless variations. There are infinite possibilities in colors, gloss levels, and textures, from matte and satin to metallic or special effects such as hammer tone. As a result, it always aligns with the desired style and interior. Steel is ideal for interior doors, room dividers, and fixed panels. In terms of dimensions, pivot doors can be executed up to approximately 1.80 meters wide and three meters high, and sometimes even larger upon consultation. We prefer to avoid steel in wet areas. For outdoor use, steel can first be galvanized, ensuring long-term protection and, in combination with powder coating, lasting for many years.
Aluminum
Aluminum is lightweight, versatile, and therefore ideal for doors where a lower weight is desired, such as sliding doors or larger panels. It is, however, softer and more sensitive to scratches than steel or stainless steel. This material can be powder-coated or anodized. During anodizing, the surface is treated in color, providing a durable and luxurious appearance. When combined with brushing, a particularly beautiful effect is created. Aluminum can be applied in dimensions up to approximately 1.30 meters wide and 2.80 meters high. Deviating or larger sizes are also possible in some cases, always upon consultation.
Brass
Brass provides a warm and luxurious appearance and is often used as an exclusive detail or accent in high-end interiors. Think of handles, hinges, or visible finishes that provide just that extra bit of character. The material can be applied untreated for natural aging, or provided with a protective coating so that it retains its color. Brass is therefore particularly suitable for giving a project refinement and elegance.
Stainless Steel
We primarily use 316 stainless steel, an alloy known for its high durability and corrosion resistance. Within our projects, we mainly use stainless steel for profiles. These can be applied brushed for a luxurious and modern look, or powder-coated in almost any desired color. Stainless steel always remains in top condition, even in damp rooms or outdoor applications. This makes it a suitable material for, for example, bathroom or kitchen projects where strength and ease of maintenance are important.
Conclusion
For most projects, we use steel because it is strong, full of character, and can be finished entirely to your wishes. For wet areas and bathrooms, we usually recommend stainless steel or aluminum, as these materials are more resistant to moisture. Brass is mainly used to add an exclusive and luxurious appearance. Together with architects and designers, we always look at which metal best suits the design, the dimensions, and the desired look.
